Fenty Beauty - Yay or Nay
Another makeup brand on the block. This time by my favourite artist Rihanna. I had decided that I wont indulge in another new brand. But the number of messages i received from my followers asking me my review on the foundation convinced me to buy it (and ofcourse the awesome magnetic packaging didn't hurt too)
I got 3 products from Sephora, Citywalk.
1) Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation.
2) Invisimatte Blotting Powder
3) Portable Contour & Concealer Brush 150
Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation.
40 shades to choose from!! Now that's going to be a bit of hard work, but there are very high chances that you might end up with the perfect shade(I really hope you do). I've heard this foundation oxidises. Guess what? It didn't oxidize on my skin. (FYI many foundation do oxidize depending on your skin type. Foundation on asian skin types do tend to oxidize more.) If you are worried that this foundation (or any foundation for that matter) might oxidize on your skin, then apply the foundation on your face and wait at the store for at least 15-20 mins before making a decision. This foundation is medium to full coverage. If you are looking for an extremely light coverage then this foundation is definitely not for you. But if you are looking for a foundation that will cover all the marks and give you a clean and smooth finish, then do try this foundation. The foundation does set as a matte finish. If you have extremely dry skin, don't forget to moisturize before wearing this foundation. Invisimatte Blotting Powder
OMG! Finally I found a blotting powder which mattes my skin without adding extra product and making my face look cakey. This blotting powder will be perfect for my vino nights with my girls where my face tends to sweat and get oily. Rihanna applies this powder before applying the foundation. I tried her trick and it really works! My face didn't get oily as quickly as it normally does. Portable Contour & Concealer Brush 150
I'm sure by now you all know my love for the beauty blender. But lately I was not happy with the fact that it soaks up so much foundation. At Sephora, the sweet lady insisted that I apply foundation with this brush, and I am so glad I did! I fell in love with this brush immediately. Application was quick, without wasting product and the final outcome was a flawless finish. Have you read my previous post on how to pick the right foundation? Do read it before you head to buy your Fenty Beauty perfect shade foundation.
